Operation Hope

Our Operation Hope Meal Prep Team would love for you to join them. You’re invited to help prepare and deliver a monthly meal for 50 of Operation Hope’s clients. If you’re interested in cooking, donating food or cash to this effort, contact Genevieve Ritch at gfanelliritch@optonline.net.

Baptismal Garments

Every child baptized at St. Pius X receives a handmade baptismal garment that is lovingly created by this ministry. If you enjoy simple sewing and embroidery, email Eleanor Burke (profeburke@optonline.net) and join their efforts.

Prayer Shawl

Our prayer shawls are lovingly handmade creations, blessed by Fr. Sam. They bring healing to those in our community and patients in the Quiet Room at Bridgeport Hospital’s Oncology Department.

If you or anyone you know needs healing, you may request a St. Pius X Prayer Shawl.

If you love to knit or crochet, you can make a prayer shawl for those in need. We provide the yarn and you can work at your own pace at home.

For more information, email Kim Leon (kleon@st-pius.org) or call her at 203-255-6134.

Touching Lives Ministry

Staying connected to those who are homebound or recovering from illness is the focus of the Touching Lives Ministry. Patti Mucha sends handmade cards to our parishioners at different times of the year to remind them they are loved and still part of our parish family. For more information, email Patti at duckymoo@aol.com.
